The Organic Stone Fruit Jubilee is celebrating its 16th year! The event features fruit tasting and buying of fresh produce from local small farms. Many participating farmers specialize in growing delicious varieties of nectarines, peaches, plums, pluots, apriums, and apricots. Kid-friendly activities as well as food and beverage booths make this an educational and fun event. Many of the favorites will return with the addition of air-conditioned spaces available to escape the summer heat.
We are adding new small farms to our list of growers. Many of the original farmers are now retired. Also there are less and less small stone fruit growers available to participate, hence the addition of other produce. The Kingsburg Historical Park offers a nearby location for many of the participating farmers. You can check it out at Kingsburg Historical Park.
Blossom Bluff Orchards. The Loewen family has a long history of fine fruit production dating back to 1931. Over the years the farm has grown to roughly 80 acres with over 100 types of organic tree fruit. Their delicious fruit can be found locally at Vineyard Farmer's Market in Fresno.
